Kendrick Perkins found himself trending for an unexpected reason after an awkward moment during ESPN’s ‘NBA Today’ quickly made the rounds on social media.
The panel had been discussing LeBron James’ stunning move to the Philadelphia 76ers when Perkins, appearing remotely, suddenly made an unusual sound. The clip appears to show him trying to stifle either a cough or a sneeze. Unfortunately, the noise came across to many viewers as flatulence.

One user joked, “This normally happens when you gotta sneeze & fart at the same time.”
Another coined a new word, commenting, “Nothing wrong with a Snoughf (sneeze/cough).”
A third offered an even more creative explanation.
“It’s well known that if you hold in farts they will then travel back up through your body and leave as a burp,” they claimed.
If only it were that easy…
Another user suggested Perkins was simply “trying to hold/hide the last drag.”
Whether it was a sneeze, cough, or something else entirely remains unclear.
