New slo-mo footage shows the exact moment that CJ Stroud slammed his head into the turf in the second quarter of the Houston Texans-Denver Broncos game, and it’s very difficult to watch.

On a 3rd-and-8 play in Texans territory, CJ Stroud tried running up the middle for a first down with none of his receivers open. Kris Abrams-Draine of the Broncos delivered a crushing hit to Stroud, keeping him short of the first down.

The officials threw a flag on the play, but later picked it up after it was determined to be a clean hit from Abrams-Draine.

Thankfully, the third-year quarterback was able to get up on his own power and headed into the medical tent. Veteran backup Davis Mills entered the game, and there’s no immediate update on Stroud.
