Fans have been tuning into Dancing with the Stars for years. However, a recent development means some fans won’t be able to watch the show, at least the way they are used to. Following this, some fans have taken to social media to find or suggest some solutions.

One Streamer Revealed They Won’t Be Carrying Dancing With The Stars, Among A Few Other Shows, Going Forward

Viewers have been watching Dancing with the Stars from its California studio since 2005. The series itself is also an adaptation of the British contest program Strictly Come Dancing.

Recently, the series entered its 34th season. This time, stars included Danielle Fishel, Elaine Hendrix, Robert Irwin, and Whitney Leavitt, among others, each being paired with a professional dancer.

However, fans might not get the watch the show the way they’re used to, thanks to a recent development. After reportedly failing to reach a new contractual agreement, Disney has officially suspended its content on YouTube TV.

This means all Disney-owned channels, including ESPN and ABC, have been suspended as well. In a post on social media, YouTube TV shared, “Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to reach a fair deal, and starting today, Disney programming will not be available on YouTube TV. This means you will no longer be able to watch channels like ABC and ESPN or access recordings from these networks in your Library.”

In a follow-up post, YouTube TV shared, “We know how disruptive it is to lose channels you enjoy, and we’re committed to continuing to work with Disney to reach an agreement. If their content is unavailable for an extended period of time, we’ll offer our members a $20 credit.”

Fans Suggested A Number Of Alternatives On Social Media Following The Deal

Taking to social media, many fans who are used to watching the show on YouTube TV have been asking what they can do going forward. As one fan asked, “Apparently I can’t watch on YouTube TV anymore? What are some other options?”

While some have noted that fans could simply watch the terrestrial airings, with some suggesting getting an antenna. However, others noted that this isn’t an easy option for some people, depending on the areas they live in or if they rely on streaming to watch most of their shows.

 

As many fans noted, the show could still be streamed through Disney+. As advertised on its website, the platform streams a new episode live every Tuesday.

Fans continued to offer suggestions on social media, weighing their options. Others shared reasons why they would miss watching the show on YouTube TV. Some comments included:

“You can get an antenna, but if you live in a major metro area chances are your tv’s built-in tuner could be able to pick up the frequency. You can try this out right now without having to buy an antenna.”

“It’s on Hulu, but a day later.“
