Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared a powerful message on Instagram following the horrific sh0oting d3ath of political activist Charlie Kirk.

On Wednesday afternoon, Charlie Kirk was sh0t and k%lled during an open debate at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old was on his first stop of the “American Comeback Tour” and was responding to a question about mass sh0otings when he was sh0t in the ne::ck from the rooftop of a campus building in a terrifying and gruesome scene.

Less than three hours after the sh0oting, President Donald Tru::mp announced on Truth Social that Kirk had di3d. After a two-day manhunt, authorities arrested the suspect, a 22-year-old Utah native named Tyler Robinson.

On her Instagram story, Brittany Mahomes shared a powerful message initially posted by author Sharon McMahon. Regardless of your political leaning, it’s a message everyone sh0uld follow during a frightening time of increased division and rising political violence:

“Hate will not get us out of this mess. Your feelings might lie and try to tell you otherwise, but hate doesn’t know how to heal or build, only how to harm and destroy.”

Kirk was a vocal and influential supporter of Donald Tru::mp. Brittany Mahomes’ social media activity leading up to the 2024 presidential election strongly indicated that she supports Tru::mp, who called her “a great person” in an interview with Bret Baier of Fox News.

Kirk rose to prominence as a 19-year-old in 2012, co-founding the Turning Point USA nonprofit organization. From there, he made it a goal to promote more political education for high school and post-secondary students.

Though Charlie Kirk was a polarizing figure because of his many controversial right-wing views and outspoken style, he also promoted freedom of speech and healthy debates with his public “Prove Me Wrong” events.

Charlie Kirk spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention when he was only 26. Four years later, he spoke again at the convention and was cited as a key influence behind Tru::mp’s success in the young voter crowd, a significant reason why he defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
