Ryan Clark has issued an apology to ESPN colleague Peter Schrager after trying to embarrass him on live TV.

The analysts were arguing on ‘Get Up’ this Friday, with Schrager defending CeeDee Lamb following his costly drops against the Eagles on Thursday night, which prompted Clark to call him out for never having played.

“The thing is this, though. And we shouldn’t do this on TV. So, I apologise if people think this is rude — that’s the non-player in you,” he said. 

“Don’t belittle me like that. I can come and say as three ex-players are saying one thing and give an alternative perspective,” Schrager shot back.

Instead of walking his comments back, Clark told Schrager, “What I need you to do is to not get mad and let me finish for one. It wasn’t about you, it was going to be about me.”

The former NFL safety has since come out with an apology, taking to Twitter/X on Friday night to share the following:

“Today, I had an interaction with my colleague @PSchrags both on and off the air that I regret. I have apologized to Peter and taken accountability with ESPN leadership,” he wrote. “I value working with Peter and look forward to this season. My focus will remain on professionalism, teamwork, and being a better teammate moving forward.”

“Bruh!! You’re offering apologies like once a month now. Either stand on business or watch your mouth,” someone wrote in the comments.

It does seem like Ryan Clark is always apologizing for something nowadays. During the RGIII saga earlier this year, he issued two apologies: to his former ESPN coworker and his family for dragging them into their argument, and his own family for bringing them unwanted attention.
