Johnny Manziel is officially no longer a bachelor — but the story didn’t end the way it once seemed it would.

Just a few weeks ago, things looked like they were moving fast between Manziel and Josie Canseco, the daughter of Major League Baseball legend Jose Canseco. A single Instagram story from Josie was enough to ignite dating rumors, and it didn’t take long before the two were spotted together in New York City, looking every bit like a new couple caught up in something exciting.

At the time, it felt real — and it felt serious.

The two had already shared moments together earlier in the year at a charity softball game in Texas. Then came what many saw as the “confirmation” fans were waiting for: Josie casually took a call from Manziel on Instagram, and in the background, those three words slipped out — “I love you.” It was quick, unfiltered, and undeniably intimate. For many watching, it looked like the beginning of something meaningful.

But just as quickly as it started… it faded.

What once seemed like a fast-burning romance has now come to an end. Despite the early intensity — the public appearances, the soft launch, the “I love yous” exchanged sooner than expected — the relationship didn’t last.

Now, it stands as just another chapter in Manziel’s turbulent personal life. A connection that, for a brief moment, looked promising… only to disappear almost as fast as it arrived.

Sometimes, the loudest beginnings lead to the quietest endings.

 

Manziel and Josie Canseco even posed in a picture together at the Cactus Jack HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic in February 2024. Not only that, they wore matching sneakers as well.

Josie Canseco is a former Victoria’s Secret model who used to have a whirlwind relationship with Logan Paul and Brody Jenner. Canseco’s father, a two-time World Series champion, six-time MLB All-Star, and admitted steroid user, also participated in the festivities.

Manziel previously dated beauty specialist Kenzie Werner, and the two were photographed on occasion in 2022. Before that, he married Bri Tiesi in 2018 and finalized their divorce three years later. She has since become a mother to one of Nick Cannon’s many children.
