The Indiana Fever’s recent squad photo, including the injured players in the frame, drew a hilarious reaction from Sophie Cunningham.

There is no one better suited to a position to give sassy reactions to any event than Sophie Cunnigham. There are a number of examples of when the star forward won over a situation with her reactions. Cunningham’s comment on Caitlin Clark’s signature logo is one of the recent exhibits, where fans also chimed in.

While WNBA fans relate to her comments and enjoy the humor, her recent reaction to the Indiana Fever’s injured squad photo is one of her top one-liners.

Sophie Cunningham Reacts To Indiana Fever’s Injured Squad Photo

A win over the Chicago Sky and the Los Angeles Sparks’ loss against the Atlanta Dream put the Indiana Fever on the brink of postseason qualification. With all the injuries and challenging phases, this is a monumental achievement for Stephanie White’s team. The franchise took the opportunity to click a picture of the entire squad together.

It included the injured players also, with some on scooters and crutches. The franchise also took pictures of injured players separately. The team shared the video on social media. The 28-year-old forward reshared the post and reacted to the same with a cheeky caption.

“a sick joke,” Cunningham wrote.

However, the Indiana Fever lost five players to season-ending injuries, three from the initial squad and two mid-season signings. Sydney Colson suffered a torn ACL, while in the same game, Aari McDonald went down with a broken foot. Later, on Aug. 27, Cunningham suffered a season-ending MCL injury.

Chloe Bibby suffered a knee injury, while star player Caitlin Clark didn’t recover from the groin injury. Sadly, HC had to deal without those players in the crucial phase of the season. Amid the whole list, the former Mercury star’s comments certainly show how players are tackling their injury issues with a smile on their faces. But it’s not just one comment that shows their character; there is a deeper meaning to it.

Sophie Cunningham And Other Injured Players Rooting For Indiana Fever

Down and out, but still connected – this could be a perfect phrase for the Indiana Fever roster. All five players constantly show their support to the team during games. Lexie Hull recently opened up on devastating injuries to top players and also mentioned how they always message their teammates during the games.

Additionally, Clark attends all the games and never misses a chance to encourage the players on the court and on the bench, too. The injured forward also showed her love and support via her podcast and social media posts. She recently talked about Hull’s ‘black-eye injury’ and lauded her teammate for her gameplay.

Similarly, Guard pair Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald attend the training sessions whenever possible to encourage their teammates and even accompany them during the tunnel walk.
