Reese’s tenure in Chicago ended abruptly.

Cicago Sky players are reportedly over the moon about the blockbuster trade that sent All-Star Angel Reese to the Atlanta Dream.

Over the weekend, the Dream acquired Angel Reese in a massive trade in exchange for two first-round picks. The No. 7 pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft earned two All-Star nods and led the league in rebounds during her two seasons in Windy City.

The trade obviously hurts the Sky in the short term, but Reese’s old teammates are reportedly thrilled with the transaction.

According to the Daily Mail, Chicago players had had enough of Reese and believed a change of scenery was the best for all parties:

Those in the organization of the Chicago Sky are so relieved that Angel is no longer on the team. There has been so much apprehension between the team and her, and everyone is happy that they don’t have to deal with her various controversies, whether she brings it on herself or otherwise.

‘There is no love lost and when Angel returns for a game with her new team, she will be the enemy, but everyone with the Sky is very happy that she is gone. They were getting sick of her and to make this trade was very much needed for the health of the organization moving forward.”

Angel Reese has been open about her willingness to take on the WNBA’s villainous role. Her personal rivalry with Caitlin Clark, the face of the WNBA, has been a prominent storyline since they entered the league together in 2024.

Time will tell how Chicago players perform this season without Reese. For now, the trade should be viewed as a win-win for all parties.

The first regular-season meeting between the Sky and Fever will take place on June 9 in Chicago. Needless to say, the crowd’s reaction to Reese’s return will be fascinating to observe.

Reese and the Dream will then play host to Chicago on July 19. Their regular-season series will conclude with a third meeting in Atlanta on Sept. 19, a game that could carry significant playoff implications.

As for the renewal of the Clark-Reese rivalry? Atlanta and Indiana will meet three times in June (the 4th, 18th and 20th), before wrapping up their season series on Aug. 16 in Atlanta.

Fearne Cotton has broken her silence on split from husband Jesse Wood in her first TV interview since the breakup.

Joining Lorraine Kelly on Monday’s episode of the ITV show, the TV presenter, 43, also gave an health update after having two tumours removed from jaw.

Fearne has had a difficult few months after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jawline, just days before her split with Jesse emerged.

She told host Lorraine: ‘It’s all very amicable and kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.’place.’

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’

She told how her health scare has changed her outlook and said she has been seeking comfort from Davina.
