Chicago Sky star Angel Reese quickly shut down a reporter’s question about Caitlin Clark ahead of their highly-anticipated clash on Saturday.
The rivalry between the two stars dates back to their time in college, when Angel Reese led the LSU Tigers to a blowout win over Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2023 national championship game.
In the waning seconds of that contest, Reese taunted Clark with John Cena’s signature “You can’t see me” gesture. Clark used that very gesture earlier in the tournament.
Last June, Angel Reese made headlines when she told reporters that people aren’t only watching women’s basketball because of one player (Caitlin Clark), but because of her as well.
A reporter brought up those comments during his question to Reese, but Chicago’s sophomore standout shut it down with the good ol’ “Next question” response.
A reporter asked Angel Reese if she wanted to expand on her bold statement from last year — that fans don’t just watch women’s basketball for one player, but they watch because of her too.
Angel’s response? “Next question.”

The rivalry between Clark and Reese will be renewed on Saturday when the Sky and Indiana Fever meet on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. EST on ESPN. The two clubs will meet again in Windy City on June 7.

Reese briefly set the WNBA single-season record and finished the year with 446, but a season-ending wridt injury allowed A’ja Wilson to set the new record with 551.
