The post came after the death of former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Gadi Kinda, who passed away at the age of 31. Israeli club Maccabi Haifa confirmed that Kinda faced a complex medical condition and required hospitalization. The soccer community, along with Kansas City sports fans, is mourning the sudden loss.

Sporting Kansas City confirmed the news of Kinda’s passing in an emotional statement. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Sporting KC midfielder Gadi Kinda,” the club shared. “Our hearts are with Gadi’s family, his friends, teammates and all who knew him.”

Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.
