During the NBA game between the Pacers and the Nets, Sophie Cunningham and Tyrese Haliburton’s girlfriend Jade Jones were notable celebrities in attendance.

The Indiana basketball is currently curling the leagues with the Fever and Pacers making a strong push for the championship. Both teams came close to the title last season and showed support for each other during their respective off-seasons.

During one of the recent games, forward Sophie Cunningham attended a Pacers game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena.

While on the basketball court or at the race track, the Fever forward attracts a lot of praise and attention. Recently, Cunningham stole the show at the NASCAR race in Phoenix, and now, fans loved her presence at the Gainbridge Arena, too.

Sophie Cunningham Attends Indiana Pacers Game

In a recent podcast interview, Aliyah Boston spoke about supporting Indiana franchises, especially the Pacers, as she is a true Indiana sports fan now. During the WNBA preseason games, the South Carolina Star made some appearances at the Pacers’ games along with Caitlin Clark and Cunningham.

Now in the offseason, the former Missouri star continued the tradition, this time without CC and AB. On November 5, she was at the Arena with Tyrese Haliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones.

Although the Pacers lost the game, it’s important to note that the season just started, and they are playing without two of their most influential players from last year – Tyrese Haliburton (injured) and Myles Turner (moved to the Bucks).

As for the 29-year-old WNBA star, she enjoyed the game as she continued to support the Indiana team. Many fans want to see the versatile star back in the lineup for the 2026 season, and even Caitlin Clark urged Cunningham to re-sign with the Indiana Fever. But after her latest request, her return seems a tough road for the franchise.

Is Sophie Cunningham Returning To Indiana Fever?

During her podcast – Show Me Something, episode, she opened up about her future plans in the WNBA. She mentioned that she wants a multi-year contract with a sizable raise. The forward added that she wants to be ‘cozy and homey’ at her next destination. While she was quiet ‘at home’ in Indiana with the fans and teammates’ love, a WNBA analyst, Robin Lundberg, raised questions about the possibility of resigning with the Fever team.

He said, “her (Sophie Cunningham) celebrity probably exceeds her slot on a roster as far as where she’s evaluated, meaning she’s like an upper-level role player as far as a basketball player, but a superstar as far as branding and all that stuff goes.”

He even added that the franchise would go for a cost-benefit analysis over the length of the contract, and with many other options available on the market at the moment, there would be slimmer chances of SC getting a high-value, long-term contract from the Fever.

Moreover, Kelsey Mitchell is the front office’s priority, who would attract the maximum contract, leaving the side short on budget options. However, the player has shown her intent to be part of the franchise with her latest appearance, and it will be interesting to see how the Fever team works out with her inclusion.
