Dave Portnoy turned heads at TD Garden Tuesday night, but not just for his courtside presence during the Celtics’ playoff win.

The Barstool Sports founder made a rare public appearance with girlfriend Camryn D’Aloia, sitting just a few seats away from actor Timothée Chalamet in the star-studded front row. For someone who keeps his love life under wraps, the sighting caught fans and cameras by surprise.

While Portnoy’s beloved Celtics cruised to a 127-102 victory over the Knicks to keep their season alive, it was his courtside companion that sparked even more chatter. D’Aloia, 26, originally from Massachusetts and currently based in Boston, works as a community management associate at Nutrafol, a hair growth company, according to her LinkedIn.

The couple’s public outing marks only their second courtside appearance together in over a year.

Portnoy has long shielded his personal relationships from the spotlight. Cameras unintentionally captured the pair behind the announcers’ booth during a 2023 Celtics playoff game. Portnoy later called the moment “unfortunate” on his podcast, explaining he wasn’t ready to appear with someone new so soon after breaking up with longtime girlfriend Silvana Mojica.

“I turned down courtside [seats]. I don’t want to be pictured, I don’t want to be on TV, I don’t want any of it,” Portnoy explained on the BFFs podcast. “We walk in, sit down, and I know instantly I have a problem.”

That appearance came less than six months after he and Mojica ended their three-year relationship. Speaking candidly on his podcast in November 2023, Portnoy said, “I just didn’t think I could give Silvana kind of what she deserves.”

D’Aloia has largely stayed out of the public eye, though Portnoy briefly referenced her on the Drop a Pin podcast in April. Telling a story about his boat losing power in Nantucket Harbor last summer, he recalled, “Originally, it was myself and Cam, um, a girl I’m dating.” She reportedly dove off the boat to find help when communication failed.

Despite a night filled with playoff excitement, Portnoy’s evening hit a bitter note when he lost a $10,000 bet that would’ve returned $210,000. Only one leg of his five-fold parlay was missed, with Payton Pritchard finishing just a point shy before subbing out.
