Caitlin Clark Snaps On Reporter Over Angel Reese Question After Gold Medal Win [VIDEO]
Caitlin Clark wasn’t having any of that.
Caitlin Clark stood at the mixed zone with a gold medal on her chest and shut the feud question down. A reporter tried to drag Angel Reese into the moment, but Clark did not play along.
“We’ve always been friends. Don’t try to do that,” she said. The clip spread because she pointed while she said it. The tone was not polite. It was a warning.

Team USA had just beaten France 97-79 for a fifth straight World Cup title. Clark finished the final with 12 points after a slow start to the tournament. The internet still wanted the old Iowa-LSU movie, but she refused to cave in.

This was not a new answer. Clark has said for years that people invented the personal war. Reese said the same thing after Hungary.
“I’m sure we know each other’s game like the back of each other’s hand.”
She added that they would keep building chemistry because they expect to be USA teammates for a while.
Cameras already caught them laughing on the bench during the 108-56 quarterfinal. Clark had nine assists that night, including three to Reese. Practice tape from Berlin showed the same court connection before group play even started.
The gold interview was the last chance to force a different story, but Clark quickly cut it off. Then she walked off camera.

She came off the bench all tournament behind Chelsea Gray, yet she still led Team USA in assists through Berlin. The debut against China was the flashy stat line. Sunday was the medal. The feud talk followed both.
Reese already told critics she came to Berlin for something and was not leaving without it. Clark’s version was shorter. Friends. Do not try that.
