Fans notice something different.

LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets have quietly turned their season around. Since January, they have been playing better and are now in the playoff race. A healthier team and better chemistry have helped them turn things around.

Ball spoke about that progress on Tuesday before facing the Boston Celtics. In an interview with Ashley ShahAhmadi, he pointed to injuries as the early setback. He kept his answer simple and clear.

“At the start, we were missing players,” Ball said. “I missed a few games, B-Mill missed a few games, so from that standpoint alone, that’s kind of tough. But once we all got there, meshed together, I mean, we got to learn.”

Ball also said he enjoys playing important games late in the season. He even supported Kon Knueppel for Rookie of the Year over Cooper Flagg.

Fans shifted focus from the message to the way Ball delivered it. They noticed his calm and clear tone. Many joked that he sounded different than usual.

One fan wrote, “Ashley gets around him and his English becomes perfect.”

Another added, “I’d be stuttering like a mf around her lol.”

A third fan joked, “Didn’t know this dude can speak a whole sentence.”

Some fans tied the moment to past jokes about Ball’s fast speech. Others added humor about his recent off-court attention. “He been on good behavior since that traffic incident,” one fan wrote.

ShahAhmadi knows the Hornets well. She used to work as their sideline reporter before joining NBC, and now she covers games at a national level.

On the court, LaMelo Ball played well. He scored 36 points and added five rebounds and six assists. However, the Boston Celtics pulled away late and won 113-102. Jaylen Brown led Boston with 35 points, while Jayson Tatum scored 23.

The Hornets played well early in the game but struggled in the second half. Brandon Miller helped the team, but Kon Knueppel had trouble scoring.

Even though they lost, Ball’s performance and interview both were loved by the fans.

Fearne Cotton has broken her silence on split from husband Jesse Wood in her first TV interview since the breakup.

Joining Lorraine Kelly on Monday’s episode of the ITV show, the TV presenter, 43, also gave an health update after having two tumours removed from jaw.

Fearne announced her split from Jesse, the son of Rolling Stones bass guitarist Ronnie Wood, in December after 10 years of marriage.

She has since made swipes at Jesse and moved on with TV director Elliot Hegarty, with the pair having been seen kissing during a recent night out.

Fearne has had a difficult few months after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jawline, just days before her split with Jesse emerged.

She told host Lorraine: ‘It’s all very amicable and kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.’place.’

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’

She told how her health scare has changed her outlook and said she has been seeking comfort from Davina.
