Dancing With the Stars: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night Recap
Week 8 of Dancing With the Stars Season 34 brought electrifying energy as the remaining eight couples took the stage for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night on November 4. With only three weeks left in the competition, the pressure — and performances — were at an all-time high.
A Night of Rock & Roll Icons

Each duo performed to some of the most legendary songs ever inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, followed by a special team dance competition featuring live music from Kool & the Gang and Chicago.
Team Kool – Julianne Hough, Andy Richter & Emma Slater, Robert Irwin & Witney Carson, Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy, and Elaine Hendrix & Alan Bersten – danced to “Celebration” by Kool & the Gang.
Team Chicago – Alfonso Ribeiro, Danielle Fishel & Pasha Pashkov, Whitney Leavitt & Mark Ballas, Jordan Chiles & Ezra Sosa, and Dylan Efron & Daniella Karagach – performed to “25 or 6 to 4” by Chicago.
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson Shine Again
All eyes were on Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, who came into the night fresh off earning their first perfect 10s the previous week. The wildlife conservationist and his pro partner kept the momentum going with a fiery Paso Doble set to The White Stripes’ “Icky Thump.”
Their sharp choreography and commanding stage presence impressed the judges:
Derek Hough exclaimed, “Robert, the matador, you didn’t just dominate, you owned this arena.”
Carrie Ann Inaba added, “Robert, you have momentum right now. You are in the zone at the perfect time.”
The pair earned a 38 out of 40, solidifying their status as one of the top contenders this season.
A Tight Race to the Finale
With just a few weeks left, Season 34 is proving to be one of the most competitive yet. Fans continue to rally behind their favorites — and as Robert Irwin shared before the show in a TikTok video, the outpouring of support means everything:
“Thank you for voting — we feel your love and support as you come along on this journey… and it truly means the world to me.”
The night was a rock-and-roll celebration full of music, movement, and momentum — a clear sign that the race to the mirrorball trophy is heating up.
