Today Host Opens Up About Shocking Separation From Husband

Part of what makes television news shows so popular isn’t just finding out what’s going on in the world. The hosts often share glimpses into their personal lives. One Today co-host shared new details like never before about her shocking split from her husband.

Dylan Dreyer co-hosted Jenna and Friends alongside Jenna Bush Hager this week. The NBC morning show brings in guest hosts while they search for the perfect permanent host to replace Hoda Kotb. Dylan Dryer announced in July that she was separated from her husband, Brian Fichera. The estranged couple married in 2012 and share three sons.

“I think, for Brian and I where — whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage — you could either fix it if you can and ideally you would and you try, and you try to fix things. Or you accept that it’s broken and you take this new step forward,” Dylan Dreyer said on Today.

Andy Cohen Calls Out Jenna Bush Hager For Ripping Him Off

He often invites his guests to play games at ‘The Clubhouse’ in the New York City studio. One of his favorites is to have actors recreate iconic scenes from the Real Housewives franchise. Viewers demanded that Julia Roberts get another Oscar for her portrayal of Sutton Stracke from RHOBH. 

But some of Andy Cohen’s games are too popular. He accused Jenna Bush Hager of ripping off one of his games for the Today show. He jokingly made the accusation during a conversation with Abbott Elementary actress Janelle James. The Bravo host asked the comedian if anyone had ever stolen a joke from her and if she called them out for it.

“I have, in a roundabout way. I say, ‘Hey, I used to have a joke like that. That reminds me of a joke I used to have,’” she answered.

 

Andy Cohen took the opportunity to call out a Today show host. “We get games stolen all the time, and we say nothing. ‘Prompter Wars,’ I’m looking at you, Jenna Bush,” he joked. He was referring to “Prompter Wars,” a game where he faces off with an opponent to see who can read complicated news off a teleprompter.

Andy Cohen and Jenna Hager Bush are actually good friends. He has filled in as guest host on Jenna and Friends twice this year. But the Today show does sometimes do a “Prompter Wars” segment that’s very similar to what he does on his Bravo talk show.

Jenna Hager Bush once went head-to-head with Saturday Night Live alum Amy Poehler for a segment on the NBC morning show. “I think WWHL already did this 1st,” one person wrote on the YouTube video.
