2 High School Athletes Tragically Killed in Devastating Alabama Pickup Truck Crᴀsh

Two high school athletes from Jefferson, Alabama, are d3ad following a fatal accident that occurred on Sunday morning.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has relayed that a pickup truck with eight people on board ran into a utility pole after going off the road, killing teenagers Tristan Drake Cox and Treylen Anderson Floyd, who were 19 and 18, respectively.
Six other teens were taken to UAB Hospital with injuries.
According to AL.com, the deceased parties were student athletes at Corner High School.
Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Walter Gonsoulin has also released a statement expressing sadness over the d3aths of Tristan and Treylen, offering words of support and prayers for their families, as well as those affected.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of two of our graduates from the Corner High School class of 2025. My prayers are with their families, friends, and all those affected,” Gonsoulin said.
He also branded Corner a “strong, tight-knit community that comes together in difficult times,” claiming they will rally around the families of the two boys to help get them through the losses.

New Bethel Baptist Church also asked for prayers for the families in a Facebook post following the heartbreaking news.
“Please join us in prayer for the families of the young people from Corner who were tragically killed and injured in an automobile accident early this morning,” the religious institution urged.
Gardendale Mayor Stan Hogeland commented on the fatalities as well, saying, “My heart breaks for the families of the kids and the entire Corner community.”
