Aliyah Boston recently comment checked Azzi Fudd for her Paige Bueckers hype directly linking her with her McDonald days.

A casual scroll through social media can turn into a full-blown basketball roast session without warning. Just ask Aliyah Boston, the Indiana Fever forward who’s no stranger to the spotlight.

While Boston is accustomed to taking jokes over WNBA stats, a recent post about UConn star Paige Bueckers wearing her old McDonald’s All-American jersey sparked a full-blown hype from her former teammate, Azzi Fudd.

What started as playful praise quickly drew a jab from Boston, who saw her own piece of that high school history get a subtle nod, or just a bit of shade?

Azzi Fudd’s Paige Bueckers Hype Leaves Aliyah Boston Feeling Targeted

The chances of spotting a comment on social media that directly relates to oneself are relatively lower, but never zero. And Aliyah Boston still got into the exclusive list.

While it was not long ago that Boston earned praise from Dawn Staley over her All-WNBA Second Team honor, more basketball legacies got their way.

Recently, a post appeared on social media on Monday afternoon, showing Bueckers lounging courtside in a black McDonald’s All-American jersey from her high school days, with number 20 splashed across the front.

Flanked by her Jordan Brand Classic top and a basketball in hand, Bueckers looked every bit the future Dallas Wings prospect. Fudd, her UConn running mate and close friend, couldn’t hold back.

“Paige >>> everyone else who’s worn these jerseys,” she commented, complete with heart-eyes emojis that pushed the post past 375,000 views in a day.

But Boston, who suited up for the East team in 2019 as a Worcester Academy standout, read the room differently. While tagging Fudd in the comment, Boston reacted almost immediately, saying, “@azzu35 wow I feel attacked 😭”

Aliyah Boston Got Trolled For Leading WNBA Foul Counts

While the purported social media exchange might not have struck a chord with either of the basketball phenoms, Boston is taking a few more punches on social media lately.

The same social media savvy carried over to Boston’s podcast life, where she co-hosts ‘Post Moves’ with retired legend Candace Parker.

Just last week, the duo dove into the Fever star’s stat sheet from her standout 2025 campaign while Parker zeroed in on Boston‘s unwanted crown. With 136 personal fouls across 44 games, Boston topped the league for the second time in three years, averaging 3.1 per outing.

It marked the eighth-highest single-season total in WNBA history, edging out her 130 from 2024 and 125 as a rookie.

Parker didn’t let it slide without a grin. She pulled up the numbers mid-conversation, catching Boston off guard, saying, “You’re a league leader… in fouls,” Parker said, her tone pure mentor-tease.

“When you really break it down, it’s only about three fouls per game. That’s average. I’m out there hustling. I’m out there grinding,” Boston had her answer prepared.

She owned the intensity that comes with anchoring the paint for a Fever squad that reached the league semifinals; her six foul-outs tied Parker’s career mark, although Parker’s came over 17 seasons.
