Angel Reese will likely be suspended after being hit with a technical foul on Aaliyah Edwards during Wednesday night’s game between the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun.

It’s been another frustrating year for the Sky, who are merely fighting to avoid a last-place finish in the WNBA standings. An understandably unhappy Angel Reese called for the Sky to upgrade the roster in the offseason, saying she won’t settle “for the same sh*t we did this year.”

Though the Sky cruised to an easy 88-64 win, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the victors. During the second quarter, Reese was issued a technical foul for making contact with Aaliyah Edwards:

As noted by Jack Baer of Yahoo Sports, this was Angel Reese’s eighth technical foul of the season. Per WNBA rules, a player or coach that racks up eight technical fouls is automatically issued a one-game suspension without pay.

In an Aug. 23 game, Angel Reese scratched Leïla Lacan’s eye while playing defense on the Connecticut Star. The 23-year-old received widespread criticism and accusations of intentionally committing the tactic.
