Angel Reese is back for Year 2 with the Chicago Sky.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese was the Sky’s second first-round selection behind South Carolina center Kamilla Cardoso. As a rookie, the LSU star lived up to the hype, leading the league in rebounding and setting a WNBA mark for consecutive double-doubles. Reese and Caitlin Clark were the only two first-year players to be selected for the WNBA All-Star Game.

This week, the Sky reconvened for the start of practice before the upcoming 2025 season. A new headshot of Reese in her Sky uniform is going viral on X/Twitter, having been shared by the “Bayou Barbie” herself.

“Angel with a 3 pointer, means a MVP season is incoming,” one fan said in the comments.

“Some Sky fans want to replace angel which is stupid to me,” a second person added.

“Yes 5! Year 2 about to be a movie,” a third fan wrote.

“She’s so gorgeous, and I love this hair color real bad,” a fourth person said.

“Looks modelesque,” chimed in a fifth person.

“Hair length and curls—is this why they hatin’ cuz she not playing fair,” said a sixth commenter.

Reese has already secured a legion of loyal fans, but also has her share of critics dating back to her days at LSU.

Not that she’s paying them any mind though, as she made clear last week.

“y’all be feeling too entitled thinking y’all opinions matter about somebody else life instead of minding your own business. i promise you win at life when you just live your OWN life and mind your OWN business. I PROMISE. 💞,” Reese wrote on social media.

Reese and the Sky will open up the 2025 season against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Saturday, May 17.
