Auston Matthews’ love life is trending in the right direction.

NHL and Team USA star Auston Matthews has a gold medal and a new woman in his life.

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ star just returned home from a gold medal as the Team USA captain at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. Now, he is getting attention for the woman that he has in his life. Matthews previously dated Emily Ruttledge, though it’s unclear when that relationship ended.

Auston has been the subject of a lot of criticism from Toronto media over the past couple of years. Even trade rumors have surrounded him. The team hasn’t won anything significant during the decade he has been the face of their franchise.

However, Matthews proved that he is not the problem at the Winter Olympics. Now, he has given fans something else to talk about.

Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews’ new girlfriend is named Vanessa Piunno. She shared photos on Instagram featuring her with Matthews in Italy at the Olympics.

She captioned the pictures, “A month to remember forever,” with two hearts.

One fan was quick to notice that another popular Toronto celebrity was also following Matthews’ new fling – none other than Drake.

Despite having an NHL boyfriend, Piunno works as a skincare specialist who is based in Toronto, per her bio. Fans also seemed pretty excited about the post, given that it could mean Matthews might stay with the team for life.

Matthews is currently on a four-year deal that runs through the 2027-28 season. He’s got two more years under contract after the current season.

Auston Matthews was a beast at both ends of the ice during the Olympics. He had 7 points in 6 games (3 goals, 4 assists) and was instrumental in helping the US end a 46-year gold-medal drought. This season, he has 51 points in 55 games (26 goals, 25 assists).

This has been a rough one for the Maple Leafs, but at least their star player is happy.

NFL sideline reporter Melanie Collins is turning heads this week—not for her game-day coverage, but for her impressive fitness routine. As the 2025 NFL season approaches, Collins is already in peak shape, and she’s not shy about sharing her journey with fans.

Collins, who has been with CBS Sports since 2018, recently posted a workout video on Instagram that quickly went viral. The clip features her at The Tox in Nashville, where she took on the intense 60-minute Master Tox class. Dressed in a stylish all-blue fitness outfit, Collins powered through the session, showing off her dedication and athleticism.

“The 60-minute Master Tox treatment will rid your body of inflammation, leave your skin glowing and your muscles toned! Final result at the end,” she wrote in her caption, giving followers a glimpse into her health and wellness routine.

Fans were quick to react, flooding the comments section with praise, admiration, and a bit of envy. Many noted how Collins seemed to effortlessly combine her busy career with a commitment to fitness, inspiring others to step up their own routines.

Collins’ workout clip comes at a time when NFL personalities are increasingly sharing more of their personal lives and wellness journeys with fans. Her transparency and positive energy have made her a favorite among viewers, both on and off the field.

With the NFL season just a month away, Collins is clearly ready for the long days and high-energy coverage ahead. If her workout routine is any indication, she’ll be bringing the same intensity and glow to the sidelines this fall.

It’s been a long time since she’s been on NFL sidelines, working alongside play-by-play voice Kevin Harlan and analyst Trent Green. Before that, she cut her teeth covering college football and basketball on CBS Sports Network. She’s also spent time on ESPN, filling in for SportsNation and First Take.

But Collins isn’t just a familiar face on Sundays. Her resume includes the Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, you name it. She was also the face of Yahoo! Sports and hosted a few shows on the Golf Channel along the way.

This September, she’s set to open the season on the West Coast, covering the Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams matchup. In Week 2, she’ll be reporting from the sidelines again, this time for the Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts game.

Collins knows how to get more attention each season. As she’s ready, fit, focused, and already trending, it seems that it will be a bit easier for her this time.
