A 20-year-old Mississippi man has been arrested following a viral altercation with Barstool Sports ownerΒ Dave Portnoy.

Portnoy, who had an interview with CBS in whichΒ he claimed that antisemitism was on the rise, was filming a review outside of a local pizzeria last week when a passerby yelled,Β β€œf**k the Jews” and was also said to have thrown coins.

He was confronted by Portnoy, and there was an exchange between them. The incident was caught on camera and has been circulating on social media.

According toΒ TMZ, which cites a Public Information Officer for the Starkville Police Department, a 20-year-old named Patrick McClintock was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace on Monday.

The outlet reports that police became aware of the footage on Friday and issued an arrest warrant.

β€œEvery person has the right to feel safe and respected in our community. Offensive words alone are protected, but when behavior disrupts a public event or risks violence, the Starkville Police Department will take steps to help maintain safety and security,” the spokesperson said.

β€œThe State of Mississippi allows courts to impose enhanced penalties if a violation meets the criteria for bias-motivated or discriminatory reasons. This remains under investigation,” they added.

McClintock’s mugshot has since been released and is shown below:

A spokesperson for Mississippi State University, where McClintock attended, told TMZ that he withdrew from the school on Monday evening.

As for Portnoy, he made the trip for the football game between Mississippi State and Georgia, which the Bulldogs won 41-21 on Saturday. The Barstool owner has been working with FOX this season, making appearances on the network’s β€˜Big Noon Kickoff’ and recently revealed havingΒ turned down a massive offer from Saudi Arabia.

He visited a local pizza joint for one of his popular β€˜One Bite’ reviews and was in the middle of it when McClintock disturbed the event.

His interview with CBS dropped on Sunday morning, but had been filmed a few days before the disturbance.

A similar incidentΒ occurred while he was filming a review in TorontoΒ in June.
