Aaron Rodgers never shies away from saying what’s on his mind. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback sparked online chatter again this week when an old comment of his resurfaced. The four-time MVP once said he doesn’t believe God spends any time worrying about football games.
“I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome,” Rodgers said. “He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think he’s a big football fan.”
Those words, which Rodgers shared years ago, is now viral on social media. The timing only helped it go, with Rodgers still adjusting to life in Pittsburgh after his highly publicized move from Green Bay. His shift has already drawn plenty of debate, especially after former Steelers great Terry Bradshaw questioned whether the decision ever made sense in the first place.
Aaron Rodgers Dives Into Ghost Stories Too
Rodgers’ words about God received replies from fans as expected. A few joked about it, while others became serious.
One fan joked, “I think that’s probably true.”
Another added, “Another Achilles tear in Week 1 incoming now.”
A third snapped, “No shit. What a stupid post.”
And one Steelers supporter wrote, “True for all teams but the Steelers. God cares about the Steelers, I’m pretty sure!”
Rodgers, though, seemed more interested in swapping stories than debating theology. On Cam Heyward’s “Not Just Football” podcast, he leaned into his reputation for odd theories. When asked to share one, he skipped UFOs or government coverups and went straight to ghosts.
He told a story from Packers camp at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin back in 2007 or 2008. A teammate swore he saw a shadow in the corner of his dorm room. The next night, another teammate spotted the same thing in the same corner of the adjacent room. “That was very strange,” Rodgers said.
Heyward couldn’t believe it. “I did not think you were going to go ghosts on us,” the defensive tackle admitted. Rodgers only laughed, pointing out that conspiracies always seem to follow him.
The ghost chat linked back to Rodgers’ current setup. The Steelers hold camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, and Rodgers said the dorms brought back old memories. Fans have already made their voices heard there too, with some booing him during camp.
The Steelers finish their preseason on August 21 against the Panthers and open their regular season on September 7 with the Jets.
Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”
This is the first time I’ve heard Brittney Griner speak! 🤨

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
