Her behavior has been a real problem for the WNBA

Last season, Chennedy Carter aggressively pushed Caitlin Clark during a WNBA game, knocking her away from the ball in a close 71-70 loss for the Chicago Sky. The incident went viral, and after review, Carter‘s foul was reclassified as aggressive.
The most controversial part wasn’t just that, but that Carter came out at a press conference and tried to downplay the play in her own way.
“It’s one of those things that happens in basketball.”
Later, she began to offer explanations that weren’t the best for a certain segment of fans.
“It was like a little tap, like, ‘I’m here.’ Not to hurt them or anything. There are things in basketball that are called insults, that’s part of basketball,” she continued. “I think on a previous play, maybe I got an elbow, well, that happens.”
That’s where the “rivalry” with Caitlin Clark began, but only on the part of the former Chicago standout, as the Indiana Fever player paid no attention to the matter and always responded with tremendous maturity.

It wasn’t the first time Chennedy got in trouble
Chennedy Carter, the Atlanta Dream’s 2020 draft pick, got off to a promising start in the WNBA, but soon ran into disciplinary issues. After a suspension and clashes with teammates like Courtney Williams, she was cut by the Los Angeles Sparks after just 24 games.
With no options in the league in 2023, she moved to Turkey, where she played for Elazig Il Ozel darespor and Bursa.
Carter returned to the WNBA with the Sky, averaging 17.5 points per game and shooting 49% from the field. However, she was cut again after Weatherspoon‘s firing and the team’s playoff elimination.

Carter takes a turn in her career due to lack of opportunities
Chennedy Carter is ready to take on another challenge outside the United States, this time in neighboring Mexico.
The former Sky player has signed with Adelitas De Chihuahua of the Mexican National Women’s Professional Basketball League and is ready to give it her all as her second chance in the WNBA is over and she wants to continue her professional career. Let’s hope the misconduct is a thing of the past.
