Former NBA star and current analyst Richard Jefferson is no stranger to making headlines with his bold takes and lively on-air personality. But this week, Jefferson found himself at the center of an unexpected controversy—one that had nothing to do with basketball.
The drama began when a clip surfaced online showing Jefferson alongside fellow analyst Chiney Ogwumike during a live broadcast. In the video, as Ogwumike walked away from the set, Jefferson appeared to make a gesture as if he was about to smack her on the butt. The moment quickly went viral, with fans speculating and accusing Jefferson of inappropriate behavior toward his co-host.
Social media erupted, with some viewers calling out Jefferson for crossing a line, while others argued it was a harmless joke between friends. The debate intensified, prompting Jefferson to address the situation directly.
Jefferson took to his own platforms to clarify what happened, insisting that there was no sexual intent behind the gesture. He explained that he and Ogwumike have a playful, respectful relationship and that the moment was misinterpreted by viewers. Ogwumike herself also spoke out, confirming that she did not feel uncomfortable and that the interaction was not inappropriate.
While the controversy may have overshadowed Jefferson’s usual basketball banter, both analysts seem determined to move forward, reminding fans that not everything seen on live TV is as it appears. For now, Jefferson’s bold takes will remain the focus—at least until the next viral moment hits the NBA world.
The 42-year-old denied the whole thing while explaining he loved his job too much to engage in that type of behavior.
You can clearly see above that nothing actually happened. If so, Jefferson would’ve been suspended and possibly fired by ESPN by now.
Back in 2018, Jefferson announced his retirement from the NBA at the age of 38. The 13th overall pick in the 2001 draft, the Arizona product spent the first seven years of his career with the New Jersey Nets, helping the team reach back-to-back NBA Finals in his first two seasons.
The 6’7″ forward suited up for eight franchises during his 17-year career, helping five reach the playoffs. He played in 12 postseasons.
Paige Spiranac Reveals Whether She Would Ever Share Nude Photos Online, Hits Out At Copycats (VIDEO)

Paige Spiranac has revealed whether or not she’s open to posing nude.
The former golfer, now an internet sensation as a golf influencer, is known for posting racy content, though nothing too outrageous. And, speaking during a Q&A with her Instagram followers this Monday, noted there’s a line she won’t cross as she’s never going to pose naked.
Paige explained that she wasn’t trying to knock women who do pose nude but it just doesn’t fit her business model.
“I’ll never do any like spicy content or nude work. It’s just something I’m not comfortable with,” she said (H/T OutKick). “No shame to women who do that; I know they’re making bank. But it just doesn’t fit into my long-term business plan and where I want to go in my life.”
The influencer has her own subscription site called OnlyPaige.com, where fans can see photos similar to what she posts on her social media pages, as well as golf tips. But it doesn’t appear she will be offering exclusive nude content on there at all.
The 30-year-old was also asked about the likes of Bri Teresi, Karin Hart, and Grace Charis, who have also become popular in her niche.
