Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ frustrating sophomore season took another hit when he was forced to leave the game against the Seahawks with a significant injury to his left arm, his third injury of the year.
The Commanders’ QB was scrambling when he was sacked, and his left elbow bent in a position where arms are not supposed to go.
Daniels dislocated his left elbow, ESPN previously reported.
On Monday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote on X that Daniels will “miss several games,” but the “belief is” the injury is “not as bad as it could’ve been.”
Days later, the news has gotten better.
Rapoport added that Jayden Daniels’ MRI and medical opinions revealed positive news.
His dislocated left elbow is not as serious as originally anticipated. There was no ligament damage & he won’t need surgery.
Daniels will not be immediately placed on Injured Reserve.

Jayden Daniels’ health continues to fail him.
The second-year quarterback was ruled out for last Monday’s 28-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs due to a low-grade hamstring strain. Daniels suffered the injury in the third quarter of the Commanders’ blowout road loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
He had previously missed two starts due to a sprained left knee injury he sustained in a Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The former Heisman Trophy winner was hoping to recreate what he did in his rookie campaign as he won the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award after throwing for 3,568 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
Daniels also recorded 891 yards and six touchdowns on 148 rushing attempts.
His efforts got them to play in their first NFC Championship game in 33 years after defeating the Detroit Lions 45-31 in the Divisional round.
