To be true, it didn’t last long. Dwight Howard’s marriage has ended badly, barely six months after the former NBA star began a new life. His wife, Amber Rose Howard, has officially filed for divorce, and she’s not mincing words in court.

According to all the documents which TMZ Sports got, Amber filed for the split at a Georgia courthouse on July 1. In the filing, she made it clear: “The marriage is irretrievably broken.” She also added, “There are no prospects for reconciliation.” That’s about as final as it gets.

Amber, who also goes by Amy, asked the court to step in and divide their assets equitably. She’s seeking alimony too. No word yet from Dwight’s side.

The couple made things official on Instagram last December when they announced their engagement. Amber posted a sweet caption at the time, saying, “Met you and ain’t stop smiling since Superman.” That post is now gone.

They tied the knot just a few weeks later on January 11. Now, a mere half-year later, they’re calling it quits.

Amber’s not just a public figure through Dwight. She’s appeared on Seasons 11 and 12 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and dropped an Amy’s World album in 2023. Her presence in the entertainment world has grown, but clearly, the relationship behind the scenes hit a wall fast.

As for Dwight, the 39-year-old has been keeping busy in the BIG3 League after wrapping up an 18-season NBA career. A big personality on the court, he now finds himself facing some very personal headlines off the court.

“I had surgery two years back on my shin. I have a rod in my leg… I cover the scar on one, and then the two players that I admire, Te’a Cooper and A’ja Wilson, also wear it, too. So it is swag. But I have used it to cover my scar,” said Angel Reese. She revealed that she had surgery on her leg and had a scar on it. She wears the leggings to hide that scar and at the same time as a swag fashion accessory.

After the Tigers failed to stand up against Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes the fans were left wondering if the LSU star Angel Reese would declare for the upcoming NBA draft. Reese has answered those questions with a beautiful photoshoot in collaboration with Vogue. Reese did a photo shoot with the brand and announced that she would be declaring for the WNBA draft.

Reese expressed her thoughts about the decision on her official X (formerly Twitter) account. “Making my announcement with VOGUE was ICONIC. In the new world that I am stepping into, just believe in me, trust in me, and give me time to learn and grow!” said Reese in the post. She thanked her supporters for their support and love and also asked them to trust her in her new journey.
