Angel Reese complaining to refAngel Reese (Chris Jones-Imagn Images)
Angel Reese is once again notching double-doubles, but the Chicago Sky are a terrible team.

With Chicago sitting near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings at 2-6, Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca said the team “needs more” out of its second-year pro.

The Chicago Sky entered the 2025 WNBA season with playoff hopes, but they have only experienced multiple double-digit losses, including their latest setback against the New York Liberty.

Now, they are looking like more of a lottery team than a competitive one.

“She’s had some great games, and she’s had some games like everybody else that haven’t been her best,” Pagliocca told the Chicago Sun-Times Tuesday about Angel Reese.

“But she’s our best chance at versatility on this roster. We need more production out of her, but we need her to help us in other ways, too.”

Reese is racking up points and rebounds, but her stats have regressed in almost every statistical category from last season when she was an All-Star and averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.
