Additional details regarding Travis Turner’s disappearance have emerged courtesy of his family’s attorney.
Turner, who has been missing since November 20, is said to have gone into the woods with a gun as Virginia State Police got to his home to question him. The head coach of Union High School’s football team and now the subject of a manhunt, Turner is wanted on child pornography charges, as well as solicitation of a minor.
His wife, Leslie, had been posting updates on social media but deleted her profiles.
Family attorney, Adrian Collins, has since revealed that he left without his wallet, which contained his license and cash. He also left his car, keys, contact lens supplies, glasses, and prescription daily meds behind.
“It is not like Travis to disappear or stay away from home,” Collins told the Daily Mail.
“Criminal charges were not obtained against Travis until days after he failed to return home,’ the lawyer noted. ‘He was not a fugitive wanted by law enforcement at the time he went missing.”

The lawyer noted that the Turner family continues to cooperate with the authorities and has consented to having their residence and properties searched several times.
“While the family’s last contact with Travis causes them to have great concern for his well-being, they cling to the hope he will be found and afforded the opportunity to defend himself in a court of law,” Collins said.
He then made a plea to Turner, letting him know his wife and children were in distress.
“Leslie pleads for you to come home and face the allegations by defending yourself in a court of law,” he added. “Don’t leave your family to fight this battle without you. They love you and miss you. They want you to know they are your support.”
Travis and Leslie have been married for 25 years. The latter told the aforementioned publication that the allegations against her husband are false.
U.S. Marshals are offering $5,000 for any information leading to Turner’s arrest. Virginia State Police and the FBI continue their search for him.
