Michigan relieved Sherrone Moore of his duties on Dec. 10.

The letter the Michigan Wolverines sent to Sherrone Moore about his termination of employment has been released.

On Dec. 10, the Michigan Wolverines fired Sherrone Moore for having an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. In another stunning development, authorities arrested Moore that same day. On Dec. 12, Moore was arrested and charged with: Stalking, breaking and entering and third-degree home invasion.

Moore had succeeded Jim Harbaugh as Michigan’s head coach after the latter left for the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers in 2024. After Moore’s firing, the Wolverines hired former Utah Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham to fill their HC vacancy.

One month after Sherrone Moore’s termination, the letter on his firing leaked. You can read the letter from Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel below, courtesy of Tony Paul from The Detroit News:

Moore joined Michigan as a tight ends coach in 2018. He held that position for three years before moving up to offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator in 2021. As noted by Samuel Dodge of MLive.com, Moore faces up to five years in prison if he’s convicted.

Moore went 18-8 during his tenure as head coach of Michigan. Officially, he earned one win in the 2023 season while Jim Harbaugh served a suspension for the infamous sign-stealing scandal.

Michigan won the national championship that year, defeating the Washington Huskies 34-13 in the big game. After Harbaugh left for the Chargers, Moore took over as the Wolverines’ head coach.

The Wolverines went 8-5 in 2024, ending the season with a victory over Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl. They went 9-3 under Moore this season, closing out the year with a loss to Texas in the Citrus Bowl under interim HC Biff Poggi.

Luka Doncic hits 45 points in his first game in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles.

It’s rare for a home crowd to cheer the visiting team, but Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was no ordinary night.

Just days before February’s trade deadline, the Mavericks shocked the NBA by sending their 26-year-old superstar to the Lakers—a move that outraged fans and sparked backlash toward GM Nico Harrison.

On Wednesday, Doncic played his first game back in Dallas since the trade. The arena was filled with fans in both his old Mavs and new Lakers jerseys, many chanting “Fire Nico” in protest.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget

The Mavericks pay tribute to Luka Dončić

While the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic remains heavily criticized, they handled his return to Dallas with undeniable grace. The organization made sure his first game back as a Laker was met with respect and appreciation.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
