BREAKING: ‘NCIS’ Legend Mark Harmon Drops Major Career Announcement Five Years After Shocking Exit
NCIS legend Mark Harmon is returning to the franchise five years after his exit from the long-running show.
The actor is all set to star on spin-off NCIS: Origins for a season-long arc.

He previously starred as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for 18 seasons on the original show and now NCIS fans will be getting even more from him.
Mark, 74, will appear in all the episodes of season 3 as part of a present-day mystery in relation to his 90s Camp Pendleton days.
The story appeared to kick off when he appeared on season 2 for a Veterans Day crossover between NCIS and Origins.
It featured a younger Gibbs (Austin Stowell) and his team investigating a small-town death of a naval officer on Origins.

Fans were understandably excited as they flocked to the comments section.
One person gushed: “Best news ever!! Gibbs has been missed for sure!!!”

Somebody else enthused: “I cannot believe this is actually happening, someone pinch me please.”

Mark exited NCIS during the fourth episode of the 19th series back in 2021.
His character Gibbs decided to stay in Alaska after wrapping up a final case.
However, he has remained as an executive producer on the franchise and has been the narrator for the prequel series.
Mark played the role for a whopping 18 years, dating back to the character’s first introduction in 2003.
