HIT Netflix show Bridgerton has returned for season four, with the first part dropping on January 29.

Bridgerton premiered on Netflix in 2020, inspired by the series of books written by Julia Quinn of the same name.

Its highly anticipated fourth season follows Benedict Bridgerton as he meets his romantic interest at his mother’s masquerade ball in the first episode of the new season.

The first four episodes are out now, but who appears in them?

Who is in Bridgerton season 4?

As previously mentioned, the new season centres around the second Bridgerton son, Benedict, who is played by Luke Thompson.

His love interest, Sophie, is portrayed by a new addition to the cast, Yerin Ha, who is known for previously appearing on The Survivors and Dune: Prophecy.

Due to the change in storyline, a number of the cast members have not reprised their roles.

In the new season, characters like Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen), Prudence Featherington (Bessie Carter), Harry Dankworth (James Phoon), and Philippa Featherington (Harriet Cains) are all absent.

Are there any new cast members?

Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest, Sophie, is played by Yerin Ha who is new to the show.

On her role as the intriguing maid and Lady in Silver, Ha said: “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome.

“Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”

The new season sees other new characters, with Lady Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung, appearing for the first time.

And her two daughters, who are on the hunt for marriage, are also debuting this season – the eldest Rosamund Li is portrayed by Michelle Mao, whilst the younger daughter Posy Li is played by Isabella Wei.

Which actors are reprising their roles?

Luke Thompson returns to the show as his character Benedict Bridgerton steps into the narrative’s leading role.

Married couple Will and Alice Mondrich will be present in season four, meaning both Martins Imhangbe and Emma Naomi will reprise their roles.

Nicola Coughlan will also be returning as fan favourite Penelope Bridgerton after marrying Colin in season three, with Luke Newton also coming back to reprise his role as the third Bridgerton son.

There are also reduced roles for previously influential characters Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his love interest Sharma (Simone Ashley).
