House of Guinness picks up following the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man who purchased St. James’s Gate Brewery and turned it into the still-booming Guinness brewery. Benjamin leaves behind his four children, each of whom conceals their own dark secrets as they come into their father’s empire. With family power struggles, schemes, and wealth, the Peaky Blinders’ influence is difficult to miss.
House Of Guinness Is A Worthy Successor To Peaky Blinders On Netflix

Knight’s Peaky Blinders was a significant success, running from 2013 to 2022 with impressively consistent viewership and ratings. Though the crime drama has inspired somewhat similar projects in the years since, there hasn’t been anything that has stacked up in quite the same way. However, Knight’s return with House of Guinness means that we finally have a worthy successor.
This new Netflix series is a historical drama rather than a crime drama, but Knight promises many similarities (via BBC). “The family – it has the same energy, humour, and swagger,” the screenwriter said. These are all elements that kept us hooked on Peaky Blinders for so long, and House of Guinness brings them back to the screen with even more refinement.
Is House Of Guinness Season 2 Happening?

Another truly impressive thing about Peaky Blinders is that things only got better after season 1—but will House of Guinness get the same chance? Although Netflix hasn’t provided official confirmation, Knight announced (via HELLO!) that he is proceeding to season 2. This is excellent news for those preparing to binge the new series, since we know this project will be a long-term investment.
Peaky Blinders managed six excellent seasons, providing us with years of entertainment. Hopefully, the same will be true for House of Guinness. This early confirmation of a sophomore installment is undoubtedly a great start. For now, though, all we can do is sit back and enjoy the family drama and scheming—all that gritty swagger that Knight is quickly becoming known for.
