Kristin Cabot,  the notorious woman from Coldplay’s viral kiss cam footage, has at last spoken out about the incident and her former employer.

Whilst attending a Coldplay gig back in July, the ex-Astronomer HR executive, 52, was caught getting rather cosy with her married superior , Andy Byron, 51. The pair appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves as they swayed to the tunes, but everything changed when they spotted themselves on the big screen.

Chris Martin swiftly observed, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The footage rapidly appeared across social media platforms, sparking a global sensation. Since that moment, Kristin has been compelled to remain tight-lipped owing to her divorce proceedings.

Now that her legal dispute has concluded, she’s prepared to tell her side of the story.

Kristin’s kisscam story exposed

Kristin’s professional association with Andy commenced during the summer of 2024. The duo first encountered each other during an interview for Astronomer’s chief people officer role.

She revealed to The New York Times that they “clicked, stylistically.”

Throughout her tenure at the start-up, they had reportedly conversed several times daily. It wasn’t until the subsequent spring when their connection deepened after Kristin confided in her superior following a reference to her marriage “in a tone.”

She confided in her boss regarding her separation and mounting concerns for her children amid the difficult circumstances. Andy then supposedly disclosed, “‘I’m going through the same thing.’” Being in similar circumstances “sort of strengthened our connection,” and Kristin revealed that, over time, she developed “big feelings” for her boss.

‘I can have a crush. I can handle it’

“I didn’t really get too carried away because he’s my boss,” she confessed.

When the chance to attend the Coldplay concert presented itself, she seized the moment and asked Andy to be her plus one. With her separation from husband Andrew still recent, she was eagerly anticipating a night out with friends.

“I wanted to put a cute outfit on and go out and dance and laugh and have a great night,” she explained. “And that’s how it was tracking.”

Kristin acknowledged having some doubts about inviting her boss, but ultimately concluded: “No. I was like: ‘I got this. I can have a crush. I can handle it.’”.

“I was so embarrassed and so horrified,” Kristin confessed.
