Police dispatch audio from the 911 call linked to the d3ath of Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has surfaced online following the devastating development.

The audio, obtained by TMZ Sports, reveals the 24-year-old had sent texts to his family telling them goodbye.

It can be heard below, and in it, operators are heard passing on information from the DE’s girlfriend, who claimed to have received a disturbing message from him and was trying to contact his agent.

The woman is said to have relayed that the player said he would “end it all,” raising concern as he had a history of mental illness.

It’s also disclosed that the NFL called the Plano Police Department to report that one of its players was experiencing an episode and that the “subject is texting his family goodbye.”

Operators also noted being on the phone with the Cowboys.

A report from the Frisco Police Department states that Kneeland failed to stop after troopers attempted to pull him over. He led them on a pursuit and managed to evade them. They said they found his vehicle crashed on the Dallas Parkway, but he wasn’t around, having apparently fled on foot.

His body was later found with an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to dispatch audio, he was found inside a portable toilet,

The player’s agent, Jonathan Perzley, released a statement on Thursday.

“I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night,” he wrote.

Kneeland, who had made 18 appearances for the Cowboys after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, scored his first career touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.

His final social media posts have resurfaced online in the wake of his d3ath, making the event even more devastating.
