On Sunday, the sports world stood still as reports surfaced of Kris Boyd being sh0t and being in critical condition.

The New York Jets cornerback was said to be in critical, but stable, condition after a sh00ting Sunday in New York City. The NYPD found Boyd shot in the abdomen at around 2 a.m. on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

As the hours passed, footage would surface of Boyd on the ground and being tended to by police and medical personnel. His sh00ting followed a verbal dispute that escalated.

Now, we are getting closer to finding out who pulled that trigger and almost took his life.

The NYPD released photos of a man wanted for questioning while revealing that Kris Boyd was leaving Asian fusion restaurant Sei Less with a small group of people that allegedly included teammate Irving Charles, who a photographer accused of threatening him.

They released two pictures that showed a Black man in a black beanie. The suspect was not identified. The man was “wanted for an assault,” according to police.

The man also wore a black sweatshirt, black pants, and multicolored sneakers and was carrying a black book bag. Another part of the video footage they released also showed the suspected gunman talking to a group of people

Cops say this is the man who opened fire in front of a restaurant and bar.

“On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 2:06 a.m., in front of 156 West 38 Street, in the confines of the Midtown South Precinct, an unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking a 29-year-old male victim in the abdomen,” police said in a post on Facebook. “The unidentified individual fled the location on foot, traveling eastbound on West 38 Street to parts unknown.

“The sought individual is described as male, medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multicolored sneakers, and carrying a black bookbag.”

Following the sh00ting, Kris Boyd was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition. He later stabilized and remains in critical condition.

It is still unclear if Boyd knew the sh00ter or if he was the intended target in the matter. The investigation continues.
