“Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 is over, and Robert Irwin and his professional dance partner Witney Carson were crowned the winners! It was a beautiful moment as fans watched them become emotional when they were awarded first place and handed their Mirrorball Trophies.

Robert Irwin’s Dreams Came True

In the hours after the finale on Tuesday, November 25, social media has come alive, with fans reacting to the win with messages of love and support. Irwin and Carson gave interviews after the finale to reveal what was next and to try to sum up their emotions at the time, and the wildlife conservationist has now broken his silence on social media.

Throughout his time on the show, Irwin has shown his gratitude for the experience, for being able to do it alongside Carson, and for the fans who helped keep him on the show week after week with their support. On Wednesday, November 26, Irwin broke his silence on Instagram.

He posted a video showing the announcement of his win and the pure happiness he and Carson felt in those moments. While he often writes long captions, he kept this one short and to the point. “Dreams do come true,” he wrote.

Fans Show Their Support

Fans have flooded the comment section with their thoughts. “So incredibly proud of you. You’ve worked so hard & nobody is more deserving of that mirror ball. Big congratulations to you,” a comment reads. “None of us were surprised. It was always going to be you two! CONGRATULATIONS!!!” another person shared.

Other reactions include, “A winner in the ballroom, and a winner in life. Well deserved!!,” “WHO’S CUTTING ONIONS IN HERE,” and “SOOO proud of you Robert!! You absolutely smashed all of your dances! You deserve this more than anyone!!”

There is also hope that another member of the Irwin family will be signing up for “Dancing with the Stars” after Robert and his older sister, Bindi Irwin, both won the show. Bindi won in Season 21 in 2015, alongside professional dance partner Derek Hough. Could Terri Irwin be next?

“So, Bindi won it, you won it… what about your mum?” a comment reads. The comment has been liked over 1,000 times.

Val Chmerkovskiy graciously showed his support for Irwin and Carson by commenting on the post. “Congrats Robert! Very well deserved, fun watching you and Wit all season,” he wrote. Chmerkovskiy and his celebrity partner Alix Earle placed second and impressed fans and judges with their incredible performances. They were the only couple on the night to have a perfect score for all three dances.
