Paige Shiver is now speaking out in her own defense.

The woman at the heart of the downfall of ex-Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has finally broken her silence. Paige Shiver has taken a ton of backlash on social media over the past few months without saying a word. That ended this week. The former head coach was fired due to an inappropriate relationship with Shiver.

Michigan found “credible evidence” that Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship. Athletic Director Warde Manuel said the university has a zero-tolerance policy regarding such incidents. His firing marked the end of his two-year stint as head coach.

Sherrone then made things worse by allegedly driving to Shiver’s residence and confronting her. Prosecutors said Moore is accused of grabbing butter knives and a pair of kitchen scissors. He then threatened to kill himself at her home. He is currently facing a trial over his alleged actions.

Through it all, Paige Shiver somehow kept her job. That wouldn’t last for very long, however, as the university knew her contract would be coming up soon. TMZ Sports reported that the university athletic department told them Paige Shiver’s contract had expired and was not renewed. She is officially out.

Now she is free to speak out, and Michigan was her target.

The former Wolverines’ head coach was having an affair with Shiver before she ultimately reported their relationship.

On March 6, Shiver’s lawyers released a statement hours after Moore pleaded no contest to “malicious use of service provided by telecommunications service provider” and trespassing. In that statement, they called for Michigan to be held accountable for allowing Moore to exploit Shiver.

“This case is about far more than one terrifying incident. It raises urgent and troubling questions about how a powerful figure within a major university athletic program was able to engage in years of inappropriate conduct toward a subordinate without meaningful intervention or oversight,” the statement from Andrew M. Stroth and Steven A. Hart, two Chicago-based lawyers, reads. “Our client believes strongly that she may not be the only person who experienced inappropriate, coercive, or predatory behavior from this individual.

“… The University of Michigan is one of the most well-regarded institutions in the world, yet they have an athletic department that has a pattern and practice of systemic failures. Our pursuit on behalf of Ms. Shiver is to get some level of accountability and justice so this doesn’t happen to other individuals.”

Shiver claims, per The Detroit Free Press, to be traumatized by Sherrone Moore’s actions in her apartment. Prosecutors dismissed two other misdemeanors and a felony they originally leveled against Moore. Shiver has not filed a lawsuit against Michigan, but she hasn’t publicly ruled out this option either.

By finally revealing her identity, Shiver hopes to encourage other victims of harassment to come forward.

“Our client came forward at tremendous personal cost because she believes that silence allows abuse of power to continue,” Shiver’s lawyers’ statement reads. “Her hope is that by speaking out, others who may have been intimidated into remaining quiet will find the strength to share their experiences as well.”

Shiver was named the Executive Assistant to the Head Coach in 2024. Moore gave Paige Shiver a 55% increase during that time period. It is unknown what she plans to do for employment going forward.

Fearne announced her split from Jesse, the son of Rolling Stones bass guitarist Ronnie Wood, in December after 10 years of marriage.

She has since made swipes at Jesse and moved on with TV director Elliot Hegarty, with the pair having been seen kissing during a recent night out.

Fearne has had a difficult few months after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jawline, just days before her split with Jesse emerged.

She told host Lorraine: ‘It’s all very amicable and kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.’place.’

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’

She told how her health scare has changed her outlook and said she has been seeking comfort from Davina.
