Doug Martin’s sudden d3ath looks to be even worse with the released information.

Details are emerging regarding the shocking d3ath of the former Buccaneers running back, with the East Bay Times dropping the news that his passing may have come as a result of issues with police.

Doug Martin, who passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 36, has been identified as the suspect who di3d in Oakland Police Department custody after suffering an unspecified medical emergency.

The news has only gotten worse.

Martin was arr3sted following a break-in at a home near the Oakland Zoo. He would be taken into custody a little before 5 a.m. However, police are saying he had a medical emergency, and there was a brief struggle before he became unresponsive.

The former Buccaneers and Raiders star reportedly resisted arr3st as police tried to detain him. Martin would become unresponsive and was transported to a hospital, where he later di3d, according to Oakland’s local Fox affiliate.

The Oakland Police Department has confirmed that its Homicide Section and Internal Affairs Bureau, as well as the Oakland City Police Commission, the Community Police Review Agency, and the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, will be conducting an investigation into his tragic and unexpected passing.

The cause of d3ath has not been determined yet, but the investigation involving several agencies is ongoing.

Doug Martin was the No. 31 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The majority of his career was spent with the Buccaneers. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2015.
