Caitlin Clark has been out for nearly three weeks. Fans regularly check the star’s availability for every game and show up in every arena wearing number 22 jerseys. In every postgame or pre-game interview, her return is a primary question from the media. But now, Coach Stephanie white puts an end to it.
The Fever HC was on the ESPN talk show following a five-game winning streak. Once again, she faced the familiar question and gave a straightforward answer.
Stephanie White Opens Up On Plan For Caitlin Clark’s Return
CC’s injuries shocked everyone. The player had been regular on the court for five years, and now she missed 16 games in three different stretches. Her current absence spans over 21 days, raising concerns over her injury.
Though there is no significant damage shown in the scans and the player is available on the sidelines for support, many expected her to be back soon. When asked about Caitlin Clark’s return the 48-year-old coach gave a clear idea and plan.
“She is day-to-day right now. We are really not putting a timetable on it. Going through the rehab process, and then we want to reintegrate her from the strength and conditioning standpoint. And then taking her to the basketball activities. We are taking it one day at a time,” White said on NBA TV (Via X/kenswift).
She also highlighted that the former Iowa star tried to come back for a period of time, and then there were setbacks. The side will not be taking any risks at this moment and will be cautious moving forward with Caitlin Clark’s return.
The 2024 Rookie suffered a left quad injury and is now suffering from a groin injury. Sophie Cunningham also mentioned that the injury is weird, sidelines the player for days, as it suddenly aggravates.
Possible Return Date For Caitlin Clark
The coach wants to keep the star guard’s health at its prime. Though the severity of the injury is not great, forcing an early return could cause future damage and keep her out of rotation for a longer period.

If the damage is minimal and no muscle is damaged (grade 1), the groin injury takes a minimum of three to four weeks to recover. Any chronic or complex injury will keep the player out for two to three months.
Good news for the Fevers fans is that CC’s case does not involve serious injury or complexity, which will allow her to return by mid-August at the earliest.
Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate
Brittney Griner (Photo via Twitter)
WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
