Brock Purdy got paid.
After averaging less than $1 million per season, Purdy finally gets his raise in San Francisco.
The San Francisco 49ers agreed to give their young quarterback a five-year, $265-million extension that includes $181 million in guarantees, Purdy’s agent told NFL Network’s Insiders, including Tom Pelissero.
Brock Purdy, who went from the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to a Pro Bowl and Super Bowl quarterback, will now be paid like one. He is now tied for the seventh-highest-paid player in the league at $53 million a year.
Along the way, Purdy has had one person by his side.
Purdy and Jenna Brandt tied the knot in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 9, 2024. They first met as students at Iowa State University, where he played football and she was a setter on the volleyball team.
Things got dicey after Brandt transferred to the University of Northern Iowa in 2021, but their connection stayed strong, leading to an engagement in 2023.
Brandt has been Purdy’s biggest cheerleader, even when he was dubbed “Mr. Irrelevant” as the last pick of the 2022 NFL draft. With her support, Brock Purdy proved everyone wrong.

Brock Purdy certainly isn’t Mr. Irrelevant anymore when it comes to his NFL contract.
On Friday, San Francisco and Purdy agreed to a new five-year contract worth $265 million.
He was previously signed through the 2025 season on his four-year, $3.7 million rookie contract.
According to Over the Cap, Purdy’s $53-million average annual salary is tied with the Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff for seventh among quarterbacks.
