Caitlin Clark pleaded with Sophie Cunningham to stay with the Indiana Fever on TikTok, to which the forward playfully responded.

The WNBA free agency is on an interesting turn. With the regular date (January 11) already passed, the players decided not to sign any contract until the new CBA is in place. But Caitlin Clark already started recruiting, as the player chose the first free agent she wanted at the Indiana team.

Going through Sophie Cunningham’s TikTok video, the player made a special request to both the franchise and the star. While many predictions mention that the Fever will not protect Cunningham in the expansion draft, the rookie’s message might change that narrative.

Caitlin Clark Wants Sophie Cunningham To Stay With Indiana Fever

The Fever team might have reached the semifinals of the 2025 WNBA season without the 2024 Rookie of the Year winner, but she is still the key player on the roster and holds a voice in the locker room. She played in only 13 games and had an expected impact.

Though the star mentioned that fans might see many players leaving in the 2025 offseason, the star doesn’t want Sophie Cunningham amongst them. Under one of Cunningham’s TikTok posts, Clark wrote, “Time to run it back.”

Cunningham gave a playful response not long after: “Only if you cuddle and make me dinner twice a week.”

While both players share huge admiration and love for each other, it will be interesting to see how the Fever team will manage to keep hold of their top players. Amid this connection and plea, fans would be surprised to see a Fever post without Clark. But the guard playfully responded to the same.

Caitlin Clark Left Out Of Indiana Fever’s Post

The Indiana Fever boasts a huge social media following, all thanks to its star-studded lineup and the gameplay it delivers on the floor. The Fever even led the 2025 WNBA’s latest social media dominance report by a huge margin. So millions of eyes scrutinize their posts, and in a recent ‘squad post’, the franchise left out Clark.

The former Iowa star pointed out the ‘mistake’ and playfully replied, “Can’t be got,”. The franchise acknowledged Clark’s statement and replied with a crying emoji, “scrolled and found nothing.”

Chloe Bibby also made fun of CC’s point and wrote, “were you even walking by then? Or still in diapers?” The playmaker quickly responded with “Fair point,” a comment.
