Caitlin Clark says increased TV exposure, arenas, and global games, including China, are crucial to sustaining WNBA momentum and accelerating worldwide growth of women’s basketball.
Caitlin Clark became a pioneer for women’s basketball right in her debut season. Taking the WNBA by storm, the Indiana Fever guard changed the entire landscape of women’s basketball.
Suddenly, fans were filling the stadium and were interested to know the whereabouts of the WNBA. As per the stats, the WNBA recorded a historic viewership as sponsors poured in, giving the league a significant boost.
At the moment, the 23-year-old is enjoying her offseason. Clark was recently spotted at the Butler vs. Northwestern game. But that doesn’t mean that the former Hawkeyes star has forgotten about promoting women’s basketball.

Caitlin Clark Chimes In With Valuable Take On Promoting Female Basketball
At the moment, the WNBA has gained a significant amount of traction. With the addition of Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers to the mix, things are looking pretty rosy for the WNBA. However, when compared with men’s basketball, the female realm lags behind by a mile.
In a recent interview with a Chinese content creator, TelfairTong, Clark had a detailed take on the matter. She pointed out that the key to gaining more popularity is to have more and more opportunities and exposure.
“The more we can be on TV, and the more people can come and watch us and buy a ticket, or we can go to places like China, or wherever it’s at, globally, to help grow the game and allow people to see us play basketball, I think it’s a really important and powerful thing,” said Clark.
She also pointed out that it feels heartwarming to see kids idolizing her. This gives her the feeling that she has finally been able to give back something to the sport. Meanwhile, as Clark ponders over exposure, her take on the CBA fiasco is also a firm one.
Caitlin Clark Sheds Light On The Ongoing CBA Controversy
The league is dying at the moment. With the players demanding equal pay, the likes of Cathy Engelbert and co. do not seem to be on the same page. With multiple contracts rejected by the WNBPA, the league is staring down at a possible work stoppage.

Under such a sensitive situation, Clark urged the league to find a way out soon. “That’s what our fans crave — the product on the floor. That’s what the fans want to show up for. So, it’s business, and it’s a negotiation, and there has to be compromise on both sides. And we’re starting to get down to the wire of it,” said Clark.
Surely, with Clark taking a strong stand, fans will hope for a quick solution before the next season.
