Everybody is reaching out to George Kittle.
San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle suffered a torn Achilles tendon that ended his 2025 campaign. His last image was of him being carted off the field. The San Francisco 49ers advanced in the NFC playoffs on Sunday, but the win came at a cost. Kittle suffered a torn right Achilles tendon in the second quarter of the 23-19 Wild Card victory. Soon after, it was reported that a 49ers employee was seen carrying a bottle of tequila to the locker room.
His injury, which ended his postseason, casts serious doubt over his availability for much, if not all, of next season.
On Monday, Kittle addressed fans and teammates with an emotional Instagram post.
“Football sucks sometimes. But I love it,” Kittle wrote on Instagram.
“I love these guys and this team. Heartbroken, but have felt so much love and support from everyone reaching out. I’ll be good. Thank you. We aren’t done yet! Also, when your team owner is the first person to meet you in the locker room, you know you’re in a special place. Cheers, all my love.”
George Kittle was bombarded with heartfelt messages from his fans after posting this message on social media. That included encouraging words from Iowa legend and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
“You’re gonna be back better than ever,” Clark wrote in the comment section. “We are proud of you!”

George Kittle was injured on a routine play that quickly turned ominous. It looked like nothing until he grabbed his leg. As contact was made on a six-yard reception, Kittle’s right leg gave out. He was carted off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Kittle might not be seen on the field for quite some time.
Given that the injury occurred in January, there’s a high probability the 32-year-old could miss most of the 2026 NFL season.
He played just 11 games this season after battling hamstring and ankle injuries. Now, the 49ers head to face the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC Divisional Round without one of their emotional and physical leaders.
