Kareem Hunt came up big for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and Travis Kelce may have given him the push he needed to help them get over the line.

The decorated tight end is being praised for his leadership, with cameras having caught his message to the distraught running back following a late mistake, which was followed by a hilarious impression of quarterback Patrick Mahomes once the job was done.

Hunt fumbled the ball in the red zone while the Chiefs were down 20-9 in the fourth quarter, and was visibly livid on the sideline. Kelce, though would not allow him to get down on himself, going over to him and giving him a bear hug while speaking animatedly.

CBS’s Jim Nantz imagined he said something like, “It’s okay, we got you, bro.”

“How we know that’s what Kelce really said? 😂 For all we know Kelce probably said you screw up again like that and I’m gonna beat your a$$,” they wrote.

Whatever it was, it worked. Hunt went on to score a touchdown, cutting the Chiefs’ deficit to one score. They eventually won 23-20 in overtime.

Having risked falling to 5-6 with a loss, the Chiefs remain in playoff contention and could add another game to the wins column when they face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, they will be without Pro Bowl guard Trey Smith, who suffered high and low-ankle sprains on Sunday; however, they did sign a new running back following Sunday’s win.
