Nico Harrison is having perhaps the worst time of his life. In what was a strategic blunder, Harrison gave the nod to Luka Doncic getting traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. As the fans became furious with Harrison, the current form of the Mavericks too, did not help his cause. To top it all, Harrison’s consecutive failed press conferences have put him in a precarious situation. Now, trying to relieve him from his ongoing nightmare, Charles Barkley has come up with some wise words.

According to NBA legend Charles Barkley, Nico Harrison should stop doing press conferences. In a recent episode of ‘Inside The NBA’ podcast, Barkley tried to extend his hand of friendship by giving some witful advice to Harrison. Addressing Harrison as a ‘friend,’ Barkley stated that appearing for any more pressers will in turn, harm his reputation further.

Listen, man. I consider you a friend of mine, Nico Harrison. I wish you nothing but the best,” Barkley said. “I thought you did a good job last year with the Mavs, and obviously whatever happened this year didn’t work out. Man, don’t do no more press conferences.“

Barkley also mentioned that it was time that he let the Luka Doncic fiasco rest. Trying to justify his move will only complicate things further for Harrison. Barkley also wished him all the best and hoped that he was not fired from his position after the huge fallout. Meanwhile, in a recent update, Shams Charania came up with yet another shocking bit of news.

Nico Harrison Was ‘Forced’ By Mavericks’ Owner?

It is no news that Nico Harrison has been the primary architect behind the Luka Doncic trade. With fans lashing out at Harrison, Shams Charania dropped a surprising update. According to him, Harrison alone might not have been involved in the decision making. Instead, it was the team owner, Patrick Dumont who was ideating the process.

Nico Harrison did not want to do this closed-door roundtable. This was not his idea. This was something that was enforced by their owner, Patrick Dumont,” Charania said.

Thus, with things looking complicated, it now remains to be seen what happens next.
