Todd Monken and the Browns’ front office will get down to business.

The Cleveland Browns are reportedly planning to shake up their quarterback room, following the hiring of Todd Monken as their new head coach.

On Wednesday, the Browns hired Todd Monken as their new head coach. The 59-year-old spent the previous three years as the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive coordinator under John Harbaugh.

With the Ravens firing John Harbaugh in a surprise move after the regular season, Monken didn’t have to wait long to find a new position. This will be Monken’s first go as an NFL head coach.

Once Monken assembles his staff, he and GM Andrew Berry will have to outline their plans at quarterback. 2025 rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel combined for 13 starts, but the Browns reportedly plan to add another quarterback.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said he expects Cleveland to bring in another quarterback. The NFL insider floated pending Green Bay Packers free agent and Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson as potential targets for the Browns.

Shedeur Sanders appeared excited after the Browns named Todd Monken their new head coach. Now, Deion Sanders’ son will have to prepare for more competition regarding the QB1 job in 2026.

There are still plenty of roster flaws for Cleveland to address. But if you’re Monken, it’s hard not to get excited about the roster you’re taking over.

Cleveland has the league’s best defensive player in Myles Garrett, for starters. The 2025 rookie class was outstanding, too, namely defensive tackle Mason Graham, linebacker Carson Schwesinger, running back Quinshon Judkins and tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

The quarterback position certainly needs competition, with Sanders and Gabriel providing mediocre production. Andrew Berry will have to address the offensive line and secondary as well.

But overall, this is a promising nucleus that Monken can build around. There’s certainly more young talent to work with than what he and Harbaugh left behind in Baltimore.

Luka Doncic hits 45 points in his first game in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles.

It’s rare for a home crowd to cheer the visiting team, but Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was no ordinary night.

Just days before February’s trade deadline, the Mavericks shocked the NBA by sending their 26-year-old superstar to the Lakers—a move that outraged fans and sparked backlash toward GM Nico Harrison.

On Wednesday, Doncic played his first game back in Dallas since the trade. The arena was filled with fans in both his old Mavs and new Lakers jerseys, many chanting “Fire Nico” in protest.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget

The Mavericks pay tribute to Luka Dončić

While the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic remains heavily criticized, they handled his return to Dallas with undeniable grace. The organization made sure his first game back as a Laker was met with respect and appreciation.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
