Coco Jones Drops Heartwarming Details on Relationship With Fiancé Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell’s fiancée Coco Jones shared how mutual understanding and shared work demands help keep their relationship strong as Mitchell stars for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Donovan Mitchell has been performing exceptionally well in recent games. And while he’s putting his all on the hardwood, Mitchell’s personal life recently showed one of his major wins outside of the NBA.

His fiancée, Coco Jones, has been a familiar face courtside during Donovan Mitchell’s recent games, openly supporting him as the Cavaliers grind through the season.

However, recently, Jones shared a glimpse of how the couple is managing responsibilities while keeping their bond unchanged.

Honestly, we get each other,” she said. “So I think that’s the biggest support is not having to explain why you’re not around, why you’re working, why you’re tired, why you’re stressed. Why are you feeling misunderstood? You know, it’s like, true, same. You know, in a different way, we have completely different jobs, but we both entertainers, and this is like a, it’s a different life.”

Being a partner of an athlete who’s performing at one of the world’s biggest leagues comes with its own set of challenges. Sometimes the timings do not match, while on most occasions you have to travel. Yet, Jones has been holding tight and helping her man win.

“So I think that’s the biggest support is understanding the language and having a space where you don’t have to perform. You’re not on stage here. You’re safe to be normal here,” she added.

Additionally, Donovan Mitchell and Jones began dating in early 2024, though the relationship stayed largely private at first. Jones later confirmed the timeline during an interview in March 2025, and by July 2025, the two took the next step, announcing their engagement.

While Donovan Mitchell has offered glimpses into their relationship from the basketball side, Coco Jones recently opened up about the engagement from her own perspective, and her words revealed just how seriously she views the commitment.

Calling the moment “indescribable,” Jones framed the engagement in an honest revelation to People magazine.

“I think about my life so much like business,” she said, “and I’m like, ‘Girl, you got to stop. This is the biggest contract I’ve ever signed.’ This is real life. Forever.”

The Grammy-winning artist admitted the emotions hit all at once. It was all excitement, intimidation, and a deep sense of purpose. What anchors the relationship, she explained, is mutual respect for each other’s careers.

That shared understanding allows them to show up fully for each other without resentment or imbalance. Jones described Donovan Mitchell as her “biggest cheerleader,” someone who makes self-doubt feel impossible in his presence. As for wedding plans, Jones is planning to throw a viral party. Best wishes to the couple.

Luka Doncic ‘destroys’ the Mavs on his return. Gets standing ovation and shows love to Mark Cuban

Luka Doncic hits 45 points in his first game in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles.

It’s rare for a home crowd to cheer the visiting team, but Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was no ordinary night.

Just days before February’s trade deadline, the Mavericks shocked the NBA by sending their 26-year-old superstar to the Lakers—a move that outraged fans and sparked backlash toward GM Nico Harrison.

On Wednesday, Doncic played his first game back in Dallas since the trade. The arena was filled with fans in both his old Mavs and new Lakers jerseys, many chanting “Fire Nico” in protest.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget

The Mavericks pay tribute to Luka Dončić

While the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic remains heavily criticized, they handled his return to Dallas with undeniable grace. The organization made sure his first game back as a Laker was met with respect and appreciation.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
