Speaking with Today’s Craig Melvin, Storrie gave some insider info on when exactly season 2 of the Canadian show would premiere.

He said, “I think Jacob’s still writing it,” referring to creator Jacob Tierney.

“I think we’re going to be filming. I don’t know when, exactly.”

Craig then asked whether “soon” meant early this summer, and Storrie responded, “Yeah, I think about then.”

Season 2 is expected to dive deep into the budding relationship between rival hockey players Ilya Rozanov, played by Storrie, and Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams.

According to Tierney, it will follow the plot of another book by Rachel Reid, whose Game Changer series inspired the first season.

“Start reading The Long Game if you want spoilers,” Connor previously said.

The U.S. Sun has recapped some major plot points in the book, but mega-fans should be warned that jaw-dropping twists could be ruined.

Earlier in the interview, Storrie remembered doing chemistry tests with potential co-stars and said he “100% knew” Hudson was the person for the job.

The actor said he believes his newfound friendship with his co-star has been crucial to Heated Rivalry’s success, as their relationship is evident on screen.

“If you look at the arc of the show, there’s definitely some spicy stuff, which grabs people at first,” Storrie said.

“But underneath all of it, these characters really like each other. They love each other.

“You can resonate with that no matter who you are or who that’s between.”
