Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers shocked her followers after perhaps exposing the team for its treatment of their dancers.

The Cowboys cheerleaders are the most popular entertainers in the NFL, but fans reckon they are maligned by the organization, especially financially. They are also the subject of a Netflix documentary, which has been giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a dancer for the team.

On a brighter note, it’s been reported that the ladies received a massive pay raise this offseason.

Summers, meanwhile, recently revealed that she has to fluff her pom poms for games. The second-year dancer took her followers through her routine this week, and they couldn’t believe that the franchise requires the dancers to do this, plus wash their own uniforms.

“Tonight starts pom pom fluffing time,” Summer says in the video below. “As I fluff, I’m going to catch up on the rest of my Love Island episode.”

As mentioned above, fans were surprised to learn that Abby has to do this on her own.

“DCC is literally so embarrassing what do you mean you have to make your own pom-poms and wash your own uniform that you don’t even get to keep when you retire?!?!?!?! It’s a multi billion dollar organisation 💀,” one wrote in the comments.

“The fact you guys have to do this and wash your uniforms seems wild! If you have to wash them every week why can’t you keep them😅,” someone else wrote.

“Not me thinking they came pre fluffed,” said a third.

“At this point I’m surprised they don’t make the DCC cook dinner for the damn football players😭,” a user claimed.

“Imagine if the football players had to blow up the footballs themselves and make their costumes😐,” someone else joked.

Of course, it’s very likely that the Cowboys aren’t the only team requiring this sort of preparation from their cheerleaders. Still, the shock is understandable as it seems like something the organization could easily get done.

Fortunately, Abby and her cheerleading colleagues are getting a pay hike this year, plus she doesn’t seem like she minds.
